This is a picture of my chawan bowl. One of the requirements for this project is that it had to have a swirl in the middle. It was very hard for me to get the swirl the way i wanted it but eventually I got it done. I also had a bit of a problem pulling this project because at the time i did'nt really have the hang of it all yet. The project then was finished off perfectly with the blue glaze I chose.
This is my altered cylinder. It took me a while to make it because it was hard to get the curves just the way i wanted them with out it looking ugly. to make this cylinder i had to pull the clay up straight and then once i had a normal cylinder i had to put the curves in it by pushing on the sides to make them pop out.
These are my set of three matching bowls. The most time consuming part of this project was thinking about how i was going to have them match. I decieded to make them match by making them the same color and the same shape but different sizes. it took me a very long time to get them all similar but eventually they turned out well.
This is my stella mug. The stella mug was the first project i did in ceramics and it took me a while to get used to it. I made this on the table. i had to take seperate sections of clay and then put pattens on them with my stamp and after that I had to connect them together. After i had my whole mug together I then had to put the handle on which was very tough but I eventually got it on.
This is my slab vase. This project I also did on the table. I had to cut out two large peices of clay and then I had to put a pattern on them with my stamp. After i put the pattern on I had to connect the two sides and add a handle. Then finally i had to glaze my project. The glaze really finished it off and made it look perfect.
